We are pleased to inform that SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) achieved an outstanding performance at the All India Inter-University Men & Women Aquatic Championship 2025–26, held from 18th to 22nd December 2025.

SRM IST secured the Overall Men’s Championship, winning an impressive 20 medals — 11 Gold, 4 Silver, and 5 Bronze, reflecting the institution’s excellence and consistency in aquatic sports at the national level.








Swimming Achievements

The SRM IST swimming team delivered exceptional performances across individual and relay events. The medal-winning swimmers are:

  • Benedicton Rohit B (Diploma in Yoga) – Multiple medal winner, contributing Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in butterfly, individual medley, freestyle, and relay events.

  • Yadesh Babu M.S (MBA – General) – Medalist in freestyle and breaststroke events, contributing to relay team successes.

  • Nithik Nathella (B.Tech – ECE) – Gold medalist in relay events and bronze medalist in backstroke and freestyle relays.

  • Aadhithya Dinesh (B.Sc Psychology) – Gold medalist in relay events and bronze medalist in freestyle.

  • Kaveen Raj (BBA) – Bronze medalist in the 4×200 m Freestyle Relay.

Their combined efforts played a crucial role in securing the Overall Men’s Championship title.

Diving Achievements

The diving contingent of SRM IST showcased remarkable dominance at the championship:

  • Ms. Palak Sharma (B.Sc Physical Education)Individual Champion, winning three Gold medals in High Board, 3m Springboard, and 1m Springboard events.


  • Shriganesh Prashant Udata (B.Sc Physical Education) – Gold medalist in High Board and Bronze medalist in 1m Springboard.

  • Annesha Dhara – Silver medalist in 1m Springboard.

  • L. Sarvesh (MBA Sports Management) – Bronze medalist in High Board.

The Women’s Diving Team emerged as Overall Champions, while the Men’s Diving Team finished as Runners-up, adding further glory to SRM IST.

Infrastructure & Management Vision

These remarkable achievements are a direct result of the visionary decision taken by the SRM management to establish the Dr. T.R.Parri Vendhar Aquatic Complex, constructed approximately 1.5 years ago. The world-class infrastructure and advanced training facilities have enabled athletes to train professionally and compete at the highest level. The fruitful outcome of this strategic investment is clearly evident in the national-level success achieved by our students.

The unwavering support of the management, dedicated coaching staff, and the availability of state-of-the-art facilities have collectively strengthened SRM IST’s position as a premier institution for aquatic sports in India.
