Counseling for SRM University commenced at its Kattankulathur campus near her on Saturday. The counselling seeks to fill up 7,000 seats for 19 undergraduate and 35 postgraduate courses in the university. A total of 2,23,000 candidates from all over the country applied for admission.
The University has stated that the counselling for admission to MBA and MCA would commence on June 9. Counselling for admission to health sciences and M. Tech will be held on June 10 and June 23 respectively.

SRM Group of Institutions Chairman Ravi Pachamoothoo handed
over the Founder’s Scholarship and University Merit Scholarship to a student on
the occasion in the presence of SRM University Vice-Chancellor M Ponnavaikko,
Registrar N Sethuraman and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Medical) P Thangaraju.
According to a press release, scholarships worth 12 crores
were awarded last year and it has gone up to `15 crores this year.
M Narendra from Andhra Pradesh emerged top ranker in the SRM
Entrance Exams. The second rank was secured by Sudha Nandhini of Tamil Nadu and
G Raghunandan of Andhra Pradesh bagged the third rank.
