No more trudging through page after webpage to find the
information you are looking for online. Get answers in a single click. This is
the assurance given by students of SRM University in Kattankulathur working to
develop a smart search engine.
The team of 70 students from various departments in the university has designed a search engine that gives the answers relevant to the keywords rather than a list of links related to the word or phrase searched for.

"User friendly features define the uniqueness of a search engine. This one
provides to-the-point answers, helping the user avoid the cumbersome process of
sorting through the links provided by most search engines," said K R
Jansi, assistant professor at the university's computer science and engineering
department. For instance, the search engine can fetch everyday information that
users regularly look for like the weather, train-transit timing, stock market
data, and match scores.
