official SRM University team participating in Mahindra BAJA SAE India and
International unveiled its new product put together by an enthusiastic group of
25 engineering enthusiasts, from different branches of engineering, Automobile,
Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics. The event requires the
team to design and fabricate an All-Terrain Vehicle from scratch which is
rigorously tested and finally raced at the NATRAX facility at Pithampur (M.P).<o:p></o:p></span><br />

started in 2008 under the patron of Dr.C.Muthamizhchelvan, Director, Faculty of
Engineering & Technology, Dr.M.Leenus Jesu Martin, Team Principal, and
Mr.P.Baskara Sethupathi, Faculty Advisor<span style="background: white;"> of
Conrods, the team which was formed in 2008 soon emerged as</span> one the top
most and most sought after team in the country representing India
internationally twice--South Africa in 2010 and in Auburn,U.S.A in 2015. The
team hit the top spot in 2012 as national champions by displaying the firm
integrity of the team and values on which it has been built upon Conrods proved
its mettle in the international event at Auburn where the car was well
appreciated by the judges.<o:p></o:p></span><br />

oldest technical team of SRM University and the Department of Automobile
Engineering, Conrods has had industrial exposure due to collaborations with
Companies like Sharda Motors, Continental , Lincoln Electric, to mention a few.
The team has built its 9th vehicle for the 8th edition of the event and has won
