The Department of Architecture, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), in association with <em data-end="305" data-start="283">Unnat Bharat Abhiyan</em> and the Directorate of Campus Administration, organized a <strong data-end="391" data-start="364">Clay Modelling Workshop</strong> on Sunday, August 17. The workshop was designed to promote creativity, cultural appreciation, and experiential learning among students.</p>
<p data-end="702" data-start="531">A total of <strong data-end="569" data-start="542">140 students registered</strong>, with the first batch of 70 completing the session this week. The second batch of participants will attend the workshop next week.</p>
<p data-end="1012" data-start="704">Artists <strong data-end="729" data-start="712">Saravanakumar</strong> and <strong data-end="749" data-start="734">Karuppusamy</strong> conducted the training, guiding students in clay sculpting techniques with a special focus on creating <strong data-end="877" data-start="853">Lord Vinayagar idols</strong>. The interactive session encouraged students to explore patience, concentration, and teamwork while enhancing their artistic skills.</p>
<p data-end="1365" data-start="1014">Dr. V. Thirumurugan, Associate Director – Campus Life, Nodal Officer of <b><em data-end="1108" data-start="1086">Unnat Bharat Abhiyan</em>,</b> and Convenor of the event, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of integrating art-based activities into academics for holistic student development. Certificates of participation were distributed to students at the end of the session.</p>
<p data-end="1550" data-start="1367">The workshop concluded with a group photograph, with students proudly displaying the idols they had sculpted.
