SRM University organized the All India Inter-Zone University Volleyball
Men Tournament 2012-13 from 1 8 t h D e
c e m b e r- 2 2 n d December 2012. There were many teams which competed
against each other in several matches. Our university played against RB
University, WB and won with 25/9, 25/9 and 25/11 scores. It also played against MDS University, Ajmer and beat
them with a score of 25/9, 25/15 and 25/18.
The other participating colleges
were :
Bharathiyar University,
Guru Nanak Dev University,
Punjab Univeristy; Chandigargh,
Punjabi University, KurukshetraUniversity,
University of Calicut
and Sathyabama University.
“South Zone Inter-University Volleyball (men)” tournament in the
Kattankulathur campus from 12th December to 22nd December, 2012. A
total of 69 universities competed in the south zone with SRM University
securing the first place. Second
came Calicut University followed by Bharathiyar University in the 3rd place and
Satyabama in the fourth.
16 universities battled in the All India level tournament where once
again, SRM stole the glory emerging
as winners. It is a matter of pride because our varsity has now won
this title for the 5th consecutive year.
