                 Green Building practices can particularly reduce or eliminate the negative environmental impacts and improve existing unsustainable design,construction and operational practices. As an added benefit, Green Design features also reduce operational costs,enhance building marketability, increase workers productivity and reduce potential liability. Thus a Green Building can be called as a Sustained Building. 
             Green Buildings brings together a vast array of practices and techniques to reduce and ultimately eliminate the impacts of Buildings on the environment and human health. Though these practices evolving day to day differ from region to region , certain fundamental principles persist from which the method is derived.

Green Building Rating Program :

               Indian Green Building Council , operating at CII headquarters in Hyderabad, is the sole responsible for Green Building movement in India. Like wise, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is the International body promoting the thoughts of Green Building across the world. They do provide certification based on the grade of the Green Building. They are four levels in this certification process. They are,
  • Certified
  • Silver
  • Gold, and 
  • Platinum.
