As per the Instructions of the HRD Ministry, Government of India, the students of
SRM Institute of Science and technology had participated in the “Swachh Bharat
Summer Internship 2018” mission in many Panchayats of Kancheepuram District,
Tamil Nadu as well as in other Panchayats across India during the Summer Holidays.
A function to felicitate the interns and to issue Swachh Bharat Summer Internship
completion certificates to the students who had done the job in the selected Panchayats
for more than 100 Hours and to the the best 3 interns at our University level was held
today (31.08.2018) at 12.00 Noon in SRM Institute of Science and Technology Campus,
Kattankulathur.
Thiru.P.Ponniah, IAS, District Collector, Kancheepuram who was Chief Guest had
appreciated the Students involved in the national cause and distributed “Internship
Completion Certificates ” to the students who had completed more than 100 Hours of
internship in the selected Panchayats and the best .
The District Collector in this address had proudly announced that SRM Institute of
Science and Technology students had participated in this social cause in large numbers
and compared their Swachh activities with dialysis of a kindly patient.
Dr.N.Sethuraman, Registrar felicitated the students and faculties involved in this
mission.
Dr.V.Thirumurugan, Associate Director (CL) and Nodal Officer welcomed the
gathering.
More than 450 Students of this institute who took part in the Swachh Bharat
Summer Internship 2018 had participated in the function.
