Chancellor's Birthday Trophy 2025 – Ball Badminton Tournament at SRMIST
In honour of Founder Chancellor Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar’s 86th birthday, falling on 24th August 2025, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has been hosting a series of grand celebrations.
As part of the events, the Chancellor's Birthday Trophy 2025 – a Ball Badminton tournament featuring over 50 colleges from across the region – was conducted for both men’s and women’s teams at the SRM Agricultural College campus, Baburayanpettai.
The valedictory function on 10th August 2025 was graced by Dr. V. Thirumurugan, Associate Director – Campus Life, who presented prizes to the winners. Also present were Dr. Jawarhalal, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and Dr. Mohanakrishnan, Director – Sports.
In the keenly contested finals, PSNA College of Engineering & Technology (Women’s Team) and SRMIST (Men’s Team) emerged champions in their respective categories.

The tournament was a true celebration of sporting excellence, teamwork, and the spirit of unity that marks the Founder Chancellor’s birthday each year at SRMIST.
