SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) is firmly committed to promoting a healthy, safe, and sustainable campus environment. In alignment with national public health objectives and the guidelines of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, SRMIST continues to uphold its status as a Tobacco-Free Campus.

Tobacco consumption in any form—smoking or smokeless—poses serious health risks, not only to users but also to those exposed to second-hand smoke. Educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping responsible behavior, and SRMIST takes this responsibility seriously by fostering awareness, prevention, and positive lifestyle choices among students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
