Science and Technology, Kattankulathur. SRM Arts and Science College was
founded by the reputed educationalist and the dynamic Founder Chairman of the SRM
Group of Institutions, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar in the year 1993. </span></div>

university results. The 22<sup>nd</sup> Graduation Ceremony began with the
invocation and Dr. T.P. Ganesan, PRO Vice-Chancellor, SRM Institute of Science
and Technology, welcomed the gathering. Hon’ble Founder Chairman of SRM Group
of Institutions, Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar presided the ceremony. In his
presidential address, he spoke about the importance of placements in the
colleges and gave a message on “Honesty, High Imagination and Hardwork”. </span></div>

Address. In her address, she spoke about the various aspects of life and she

Principal. SRM Arts and Science College delivered the Annual Report and the achievements.
In his report, he stated that the college is proud to state that more than 85
students have secured Madras University Ranks (within first 50 Ranks). And <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Mr. K.R. Jaikumar was awarded the Gold Medal
for B.Sc Hotel and Catering Management</b> course by the University of Madras.
During the academic year (2017-18) fee concession has been given to 107
students by the Management and on top of it, the College Management offered
free education to 57 students in this academic year. The College has a very
effective placement cell for campus recruitment. All the eligible students have
been placed in the recruitment drive and have placed a record of 100% placements

Seychelles to send medical students to SRM University, Chennai

steady stream of patients to Chennai for medical care, will also send its
students to universities here for medical education, said Danny Faure,
Vice-President, Republic of Seychelles, here on Monday.<o:p></o:p></span><br />

University. But now, we are in talks with private universities here to
accommodate more students from Seychelles,” M.S. Sai, honorary consul said.<o:p></o:p></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Mr. Faure said Seychelles has always looked up to India and
Chennai in particular, for its quality medical treatment. “Nearly 15 years ago,
we used to send our patients to Singapore and South Africa but over the past
many years, we have been sending our most difficult cases to India,” he said,
adding that though Seychelles had made medical treatment free for its citizens,
there was a shortage of specialists there. A medical board in the country, also
comprising international consultants, decided the patients to be sent outside
Seychelles for specialised medical care. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

Hospital here. Waven William, high commissioner to India, Republic of

Asha Bhosle, Vikram, Mammootty, Sidharth, Jeeva, Shriya Saran, Sharath Kumar,
have graced the fest with their presence. Around 75 colleges from the southern
states participate very enthusiastically along with many more colleges from
other parts of the country. This year we are also expecting participation from

Sweety Pate, student of final year Aerospace Engineering in SRM University, Chennai, and her team won the third prize in the Space Transportation Design Competition, organized by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Foundation (AIAA), USA.

<div class="storydiv cm_filter" id="storydiv" style="display: block; float: left; line-height: 17px; margin-right: 20px;"><div class="Normal">NASHIK:  Nashik girl  Sweety Pate, student of final year Aerospace Engineering in SRM  University, Chennai, and her team won the third prize in the Space  Transportation Design Competition, organized by the American Institute  of Aeronautics and Astronautics Foundation (AIAA), USA. <br />
<br />
Sweety  named the space vehicle she and her team designed in Marathi as Nav  Kshitij Vahak, a commercial earth-to-orbit passenger space vehicle. This  is the only team selected from India among 100 teams from 65  universities in the world. The team, led by Sweety, included Joel Alex  Roy, Anku Aravind, Jeevaraj Hejmady, Sarnavi Mahesh, Rajdeep Chowdhuri,  Ravikumar Shakya and Rishabh Bana. <br />
<br />
Sweety had earlier presented  two research papers at the International Conference of Mechanical and  Aerospace Engineering, Paris, which have been published in international  journals. <br />
<br />
She was awarded by NASA for her dolphin-shaped  eco-friendly aircraft working on less fuel, producing less noise, and  using very short runway for landing. </div></div><br />
