The Tamil Academy of SRM University and Paarivendhar
Students Association jointly celebrated the World Poetry Festival on 21.03.2017
by 10 A.M. at SRM Medical College Auditorium.
Dr. T.P.Ganesan, President, Tamil
Academy presided over the function in the presence of Medical College Dean Dr.
A. Sundaram.
Dr. T.R.Paarivedhar, Chancellor of SRM Univesity and patron
of Tamil Academy released quarterly magazine ‘VENDHAR NERI’ and delivered
keynote Address. After receiving the first copy Dr.V.G.Santhosam, Chairman, VGP
Group of Companies felicitated Tamil Academy and its activities. Kalaimaamani
Poet Ponnadiyar inaugurated the Poetry Recitation about poet Bharathidasan in
which 14 students from various faculties of SRM Institutions participated.
Earlier Dr. Karu. Nagarajan, Secretary, Tamil Academy
welcomed the gathering and finally Dr. V. Mangaiyarkarasi proposed the vote of
thanks. Selvan R. Arunachalam, Student convenor, compered the programme.
