<span style="font-size: large;">21st century English language learners come to classrooms with knowledge of places, languages, customs, and cultures. They come with optimism, energy, and unique perspectives of their own. Through interactions with teachers, classmates, and other learners they learn many things that enrich their lives and which enable them to face the increasingly diverse workplaces and communities. Today's learners will become valued members of tomorrow's global economy.

This International Conference is a platform to initiate discussion on learning styles and strategies and to evolve appropriate teaching materials and methods, classroom practices, and evaluation and hoping to find new avenues to meet the 21st century learners’ needs and demands. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">To familiarize the conference attendees with the learning styles and strategies employed by the current generation of learners and to find out means of accelerating them.

To reach a common understanding regarding the appropriate pedagogic practices to enhance the quality of language education that help classrooms become more interactive and meaningful.

To focus on various issued related to ELT in the rapidly changing, technology dominated academic and professional environment.

The English Language Teachers' Association of India (ELT@I) was founded on August 7, 1974 by the late Padmashri S. Natarajan, a noted Educationist. ELT@I is a forty-six year old voluntary non-profit organization established with the sole objective of professionalizing English language teaching starting from primary through secondary to tertiary levels. It has about 5000 members on its roll and 62 chapters in different parts of our country. The international conference conducted by ELT@I every year attracts over 1000 delegates from various parts of the country and abroad and has been acclaimed as an academically rewarding experience for the teachers, policy makers and administrators interested in improving the language skills </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Proposals are invited from English language teachers and research scholars for paper presentation and workshops on the theme of the conference and other related sub-themes mentioned in the conference brochure.

The abstract (not more than 150 words) in MS Word format, Times New Roman, font size 12 should be submitted online at: www.eltaiconferences.com and a copy of the abstract should be sent as an email attachment to: cess.2013@srmuniv.ac.in

The abstract should include

Title of the paper : Bold, Times New Roman, Font size - 14

Name of the authors : In capital letters, Times New Roman Font size - 12

Address : Full address with email id and phone number

The full paper, not exceeding four pages, as per the MLA Handbook seventh edition guidelines, needs to be sent on or before 30th June 2013

All Abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Select papers will be published separately with ISBN number and will be issued on payment.
