Corrosion is a natural and spontaneous process defined commonly as deterioration of metals in contact with corrosive environment. The effects of corrosion in our daily lives are both direct and indirect. Hence forth there is a need to carry out a systematic study of corrosion mechanism and its control measures. Thus this short term course (STCC 2014) for two days is arranged to inculcate the knowledge about the recognition of corrosion control technologies.<br />
STCC 2014 will provide a forum for revealing various areas of corrosion which includes the microbiologically influenced corrosion, biomaterials, laboratory corrosion testing of industrial products, industrial corrosion, failures and corrosion of material on storage and environmental factors leading to corrosion through the lectures by eminent scientists.<br />

days of plant visits to Deming prize awarded companies. Lectures will be taught
by top professionals who have years of experiences in successfully implementing
TQM in research, design, manufacturing and sales divisions, and providing TQM
counseling to companies worldwide. Plant visits will be a unique opportunity to
observe, firsthand, TQM systems operating at Deming Prize Award winning
